18th century mansion with terraced gardens which are open to the public.
Woodland filled with rhododendrons, amellias and magnolias, and a path which follows a stream to the sea. Howick is also one of the few places left in England where red squirrels can still be found.

Craster has a small harbour mainly used by leisure craft and a few fishing boats. Craster is famous for it's kippers, and the smoking sheds overlook the harbour.
The Northumberland Coast is designated as an Area Of Outstanding Beauty (AONB), starting at Berwick upon Tweed at the Scottish borders. The coast is notable for the castles and small islands such as Lindisfarne.
