Craster has a small harbour which empties completely at low tide. Craster is famous for it's kippers, and the smoking sheds overlook the harbour. The harbour is now mainly used by leisure craft and a few fishing boats which fish for crabs and lobsters.
The Arnold Memorial Nature Reserve is nearby and the woodlands are home to a number of rare bird species including bluethroats.
