Joss Bay

Joss Bay is a bay with a sandy beach, and overlooked by cliffs and the North Foreland Lighthouse. Joss Bay is said to be named after a local smuggler Joss Snelling. The bay is popular with surfers, the Joss Bay Surf School is based here and provide tuition for all levels of surfer.

The Bay is overlooked by the Captain Digby public house. Parking is available in a car park to the south of the bay.

Broadstairs is a small seaside town with associations with Charles Dickens. It has 7 neighbouring bays including Viking Bay and Botany Bay.

Kent is known as the 'Garden of England', but also boasts many miles of coastline stretching round from the Thames estuary to East Sussex. The coast line includes the famous white cliffs of Dover.
