Broadstairs is a small seaside town in Kent with an enclosed sandy beach. Broadstairs is known as the Jewel in Thanet's crown and has a crest motto: 'Stella Maris - Star of the Sea'. Broadstairs beautiful coastline includes 7 bays;
Viking Bay - Louisa Bay - Kingsgate Bay - Dumpton Gap - Botany Bay - Stone Bay - and Joss Bay.
It is famous for it's connection with Charles Dickens who spent a lot of time there (Bleak House) between 1837 and 1859.
